What to Expect

Note

We understand that visiting churches can seem overwhelming. With that in mind, we designed this page to answer a few of the questions you might have. We want you to know what to expect before you ever walk through our doors so that you will feel right at home, even on your first visit.

SERVICES

Our main services take place each Sunday at 10:30 am and 6:00 pm. Our services would be considered a more traditional style that begin with Christ-centered music and worship followed by the preaching of God’s Word from our pastor.

ONCE YOU ARRIVE

Once you arrive, there are two main entrances on the north side of the building where greeters will welcome you and answer any questions you might have.  Adults and teenagers  attend the main worship services together, where you will be encouraged and blessed by our congregational and special music followed by a challenging and Biblical message from Pastor Waterloo. Your children may attend age appropriate children’s church services, or worship with you in the auditorium.

If you would like a better opportunity to get to know other individuals in our church and to receive more teaching from God’s Word, we would encourage you to attend the various adult and children’s classes we provide every Sunday morning during the 9:30 am hour.

CHILDREN

We value ministry to children at our church, which is why we work diligently to provide exceptional ministries and opportunities for your children to learn and grow at our church. We want you to be able to enjoy our services with the peace of mind that your children are being cared for in a safe environment by individuals who are qualified to work with your children.

Our children’s ministry begins in our nursery where your infants and toddlers will receive exceptional care from our carefully selected nursery workers. We also provide pagers for the parents of infants so that you may be easily contacted during the services. For children 3 years old through the 6th grade, we provide fun and educational classes that your children are sure to enjoy.

On Wednesday nights during the school year we also provide the King’s Character program for children in Kindergarten through the 6th grade. This is a fun time that includes games, verse memorization times, and Bible studies.

Positioned at the main entrances, we have greeters who can assist you and your children in finding your appropriate classes.

TEENS

For teenagers, we offer an exciting yet Bible-centered program throughout the week. During the 9:30 am hour on Sundays we provide a class for students in the 7th through 12th grade. And on Wednesdays during the school year we operate our All Stars youth program that includes fun games, healthy and safe Christian fellowship, and challenging lessons from God’s Word. We also host several activities for teenagers every month, so be sure and check the church calendar for the next upcoming event.

FAQ

How should I dress?

We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable at Central Baptist Church, which is why we have no dress code for our members or guests. You may notice that our church leadership often wears what could be considered a more traditional style of  “church dress.” However, we only ask that you wear what you believe to be appropriate for a time of worship in God’s house.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?

No. While we conduct a time of offering during every service, we do not require or expect our guests to contribute to this offering. As our guest, we want you to feel welcome and loved, so please understand that you are in no way obligated to participate in our offering time
